New Games:

Oh, hey, there’s a True Blood game. I’ll give you three guesses to figure out who’s publishing it. Yeah, you know, we’re all going to get this one right. It’s Cryptozooic guys. The name of the game is Night Eternal.

Plaid Hat Games has announced Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game. It’s a survival horror, and it’s the first in the Crossroads series. PHG is billing it as a “meta-cooperative psychological survival game,” by which they mean each player has a secret objective to achieve while also working together to get by as a group.

Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers vs. X-Men is coming out this December. It’s a dice-building game designed by the team behind Quarriors. I’ll be interested to see if it’s a Quarriors reskin or something new.

Expansions:

Hive, the strategy game about building your insect kingdom, is expanding to include Pillbugs. These little guys can only move one space, but then they can move other pieces into the spaces around them. I’ve never played Hive, but from what I hear this is a big deal.

Other News:

The annual Jack Vasel Memorial Fund Auction is underway. The fund is named in honor of Tom Vasel’s son Jack, who passed away in 2011. The money raised by the fund goes to help members of the gaming community who are in need.

Quarriors is coming to the iPad. Which is great. If you have an iPad. (via F:AT)

The Sorcery iPad game, by Steve Jackson, has also received an expansion. Still can’t play it, though, because I’m sticking with my Droid.
